The Making Of .......

Ever wondered what happens behind the scenes of commercials? Me, too! I got the opportunity to visit our photo session while the amazing people of Quickworks were recording new promotional material for NEW Spreading Pansy Top Wave™.

Prework
The project began with meetings to fine-tune every aspect of the shoot. We discussed colours, pots and baskets sizes, settings and dates to make sure that the photos would be perfect for our message on NEW Spreading Pansy Top Wave™.

Location Scouting
It took some effort to find a fitting location, but in the end, the chosen European house provided an ideal setting. Its light and pastel colours complemented the vibrant colours of the pansies.

Weather Considerations
Despite our hopes for golden-hour lighting, we faced cloudy and cold conditions on the day of the shoot. However, the qualified people of Quickworks quickly added extra lamps, which made it feel like it was a sunny Spring day. Our talented actress tackled the cold like the seasoned pro she is.

Lights, Camera, Action: Shining a light on Pansies in everyday life
The team had prepared 4 scenes around the house. It took about an hour per scene to get perfect material from every angle, constantly making sure our pansies were looking their best. Of course, every scene has its funny challenges – slippery grass slopes made ladders sink in the mud, visible reflections had to be covered up by hiding behind the cameraman, and loud nearby tractors caused a couple of re-takes.

Photography and Videography
The team used both still photography and videography to capture the full essence of the pansies in the scene. The photographs froze moments of perfect beauty, while the video footage brought movement and life to the scenes, showcasing how these pansies bring joy to every home.

Post-Production: Enhancing Nature's Beauty
In post-production, the team carefully adjusts exposure, contrast, and colour balance to ensure the pansies' true colours shone through.

As a grower, you'll appreciate how we strived to represent these beautiful plants authentically, showcasing their natural allure while adding a touch of artistic flair. This photo shoot was not just about creating stunning visuals. It was also about celebrating the NEW Spreading Pansy Top Wave in all its glory.
