It's time to announce the 2026 Beacon® Impatiens charitable-giving partnership, which is in its 7th year of giving back to local communities and shining the light on worthy organizations.

This year, proceeds and fundraising from Beacon Impatiens will support Roots for Youth, an organization in Ontario, Canada, that provides scholarships to teens and young adults who have endured family tragedies or hardships. It was founded in 2018 by the Bradford Greenhouses Family Trust and since that time Roots for Youth has provided aid for 14 young students, paying 100% of their tuition to achieve their dreams of post-secondary education.

I learned from Roots for Youth director and president, Len Ferragine, that he's seen firsthand the heartache caused from a tragic loss. A lifelong friend and longtime employee had passed suddenly at a young age, leaving behind a wife and teenaged children. From this tragedy, Roots for Youth was kick-started to ensure the trust and the proceeds it raises go to deserving children in real need.

"The heavy burden of financial hardship can make pursuing education feel nearly impossible," Len said. "With Roots for Youth support, these teens can grow to become healthy and resilient contributors in their communities."

The team behind Beacon Impatiens loves making an impact in the lives of others, whether that's creating colorful gardens or by helping people make their dreams become reality.
