PanAmerican Seed’s Lisa Lacy Receives Seed World Award

Congratulations to our very own Lisa Lacy! She is a recent recipient of the 2025 Seed World Award. How did we know that our PanAmerican Seed baseball-themed shirts from CAST were going to come in handy? I guess we just knew that Lisa was in a league of her own.

Director of Product Management for PanAmerican Seed Lisa Lacy was nominated for Seed World’s “A League of Her Own: 30 High-Impact Women” by Senior Product Manager PanAmerican Seed Robin Ruether with the help from Shannon Carmody and Isabel Branstrom from the team. This award recognizes those individuals who are pushing boundaries in science, sustainability, leadership and community engagement. They are often the kind of professionals who don’t seek recognition – but earn it, simply by how powerfully they move the needle.

Lisa Lacy was chosen for making a lasting contribution to the seed sector. The baseball analogy is explained as, “In baseball, legends are defined not just by their stats but by the way they change the game. The same is true in the seed industry, where innovation, resilience, and teamwork determine success season after season. These home-run hitters bring fresh thinking, steady leadership and vision to every corner of the seed industry,” according to Seed World.

A pioneer and role model for introducing breakthrough flower seed varieties to the industry, Lisa also is leading the next generation of product managers and innovators. Upon receiving her award, she said, “Product development – the merger of people, plant, processes – extremely satisfying. Brainstorming, identifying the standout product, collaborating on challenges, and successful launches are highly motivating.”

In honor of her recent win, we invite you to check out a Q&A interview from the PanAmerican Seed Archives featuring Lisa Lacy discussing the advantages of the latest Solarscape® Impatiens series.
