Darwin Perennials Day 2025 Recap

We had a great turn out at Darwin Perennials Day 2025 hosted at The Gardens at Ball in West Chicago, Illinois, USA! Temps were high but so were spirits as PanAmerican Seed visited with all customers who came through, sharing the tent for cover when the rain broke.

Tent filled with pollinator plants

At the PanAmerican Seed tent, we highlighted our latest inspired solution with the Bee-Yond Pollinator Program. The purpose of our curated collection is to encourage people to think beyond their yard and to purchase pollinator plants since there are so many benefits to pollinator-friendly varieties.

Pollinator Benefits

  1. 1 out of every 3 bites of food needs a pollinator.
  2. Pollinators support biodiversity.
  3. Nearly 1 in 4 bees from each of the 347 native bee species is imperiled and at increasing risk of extinction due to habitat destruction and pesticide use. Other major threats are climate change and urbanization. Source: Center for Biological Diversity
  4. Ecosystems depend on pollinators. Plants stabilize our soils, clean our air, supply oxygen and support wildlife.

PanAmerican Seed offers added value from seed that vegetative counterparts cannot provide. Growers can add these non-branded options to their existing pollinator programs that will help meet their customers’ and consumers’ needs, as well.

There were lots of pollinators in the tent and the messaging really came through with all the amazing varieties we were able to show attendees during the event. Besides pollinator varieites, PanAmerican Seed offers a whole range of perennials. For more information on our perennials, check them out here.
