Summer Squash Green Lightning Receives AAS Award

PanAmerican Seed® recently accepted a 2025 All-America Selections (AAS) National Award for its new Summer Squash Green Lightning. It is a green-striped patty pan squash with vivid colouration and exceptional yield. Grown on a vigourous bush plant habit, it also has a delicious sweet flavour.
This variety was given high marks for maturing fast and early (40-45 days), setting it apart from other patty pans, to be one of the first squash harvested during the season. The scallop disc fruit shape with its attractive green striping has also been deemed “cute-pretty” for use in home vegetable décor. It truly is an exceptional patty pan that is best harvested at the palm-size stage for the most tender flavour. And its vivid colour really makes it stand out.
