Cool Wave Pansies at Philadelphia Flower Show

In Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA, the annual Philadelphia Flower Show is the nation's largest and longest-running horticultural event. It's a 10-day floral showcase that regularly attracts over 250,000 visitors from all around the world. The event raises nearly $1million for the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society, the host of the show since 1829.

Besides inspirational displays, floral competitions, and an amazing marketplace of makers and vendors, one of the top must-experience parts of this wildly popular show is the Potting Party, led by renowned botanical artist Tu Bloom of Tu Bloom Designs®.

This year, the Potting Parties were sponsored by our very own Cool Wave® Pansies as the featured “spiller” in Tu Blooms live potting demonstrations. This is the second partnership for the Wave brand this year with Tu Bloom Designs, the first being The GRAMMY Awards® where our Wave® Petunias were featured in his floral design for the Red Carpet.

In Philly, Tu Bloom was an amazing spokesperson for Cool Wave Pansies and the other cool-season “plant friends” such as Kitchen Minis™ Peppers and Tomatoes, Everleaf Thai Towers Basil, Patio Baby Eggplant, Ellagance Lavender, and Clear Crystal Alyssum from PanAmerican Seed.

Tu led 5 demonstrations a day over the course of this 10-day event. He interacted with attendees as they potted up plants in a Cool Wave-branded sustainable container. Many of the guests return each year to garden with Tu Bloom. And with so many demos each day, hundreds of attendees got a chance to see Cool Wave Pansies in-action as one of the best choices for early-spring, colorful baskets and containers.

Tu Bloom also took time out of his busy demonstration schedule to film a TV segment with the local Philadelphia Fox station, which garnered 38,864 live viewers! Watch the clip here to see his quick on-camera potting demonstration.

The Wave brand continues to partner with consumer influencers and media personalities to amplify all the benefits of Wave Petunias and Cool Wave Pansies. To learn more, visit our gardening website
