China: 2021 World Garden Show

The 2021 World Garden Show was held April 27 to May 3 in Haining, China. The event included both plant displays and an international communication exchange, and invited people from the Royal Horticultural Society, IPPS, Appletern, and Butchart Garden to discuss the future, changes in operations, and topics important to the horticulture industry.

Ball China also hosted the 19th PanAmerican Seed New Variety Pack Trial, where a few presenters showcased the latest plants covering over 10 hectares! In a special W.E.-shaped pavilion, PanAmerican Seed products shined, like NEW E3 Easy Wave Petunia, Mirage Deep Rose Petunia, Jolt Purple Dianthus, and White Lion Leucanthemum. Other flowers featured included Angelonia, Pentas, Dahlia, and other blooming perennials. They were nestled among fun displays using vintage cars, boats, beach scenes and other colorful props.

The in-person attendance achieved records (reports say nearly 10,000 visitors!), and an online presence for the event also helped boost the exhibit to reach additional millions of viewers through immersive experiences using virtual reality.
