This year a record-breaking number of visitors took the time to visit IPM. Over 54,000 trade visitors from all over the world travelled to Messe Essen from January 28 to 31 to obtain information about the newest plant introductions, innovative horticultural technology and trends from 1,538 exhibitors from 46 nations.

PanAmerican Seed welcomed an extensive group of their customers, growers and other contacts (retailers, members of the press and other flower fanatics). The bright colours of the stand attracted lots of attention, as did the huge basket presenting Impatiens Beacon® Mixture. Beacon Select Mixture includes all available colours in the series: Bright Red, Coral, Orange, Salmon, Violet Shades and White.

The well-established brand Osteospermum Akila® brightened-up the right side of the stand. The new colour Sunset Shades was the star of the series! Visitors were attracted to this interesting mix of colours like yellow, magicians and rose-reds, plus salmon, apricot and orange shades…a gorgeous mix of the colours of the setting sun.

This year PanAmerican Seed also presented two of their perennial varieties at IPM: Leucanthemum Madonna and Salvia Salvatore Blue – two of the Top Performers in this class. Madonna won a FleuroSelect Gold Medal and Salvia Salvatore Blue was part of the New Variety section at IPM Hall 1a this year, together with Impatiens Beacon Red White Mixture.

FleuroSelect presented the 21 Gold Medal Winner Foliage Celosia Sol™ Gekko Green at its stand. A Gold Medal represents a breakthrough in breeding and that’s precisely what Sol Gekko Green is. The Fleuroselect judges praised the beautiful colour contrast and the outstanding garden performance, seeing huge potential for this Celosia, not only in mixed containers but also in landscaping. With Foliage Celosia Sol Gekko Green, PanAmerican Seed expands the options for sun-loving accent plants.
