This month, attendees of the Great Lakes Expo (GLExpo) traveled to Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA.

From December 9-11, 2025, the snow-covered city once again hosted the Midwestern trade show for the fruit, vegetable and farm market. Check out some of the highlights from the PanAmerican Seed team:
- The GLExpo trade show floor, which was busier than last year, was a great opportunity to catch up with our seed distribution customers and growers.
- Fresh market growers had a mixed season for performance, as some were faced with regional weather challenges. That being said, it seems that many were able to still get good sell-through on their harvests.
- We continue to see more and more distributors and growers at the Great Lakes Expo getting into cut flowers. Many growers find them to be a profitable crop to grow on their farm and bring to markets in addition to their produce. Distributors continue to receive more inquiries on this category as well. Fortunately, PanAmerican Seed is well suited to help the North American cut flower industry with our great assortment of varieties.
- Autumn Frost Winter Squash was one of our most talked about varieties at the booth. Fresh market growers love this variety for its unique appearance, sweet flavor and long shelf life. It has become one of our top-selling vegetables and is name-recognized in the marketplace.
- Bonsai Basil was a hit for another year at GLExpo. People were excited to try this variety out as a potted plant.
