Hello, friends! I would like to share a brief overview of one of the most iconic floriculture events in Latin America, and where some of our PanAmerican Seed varieties have taken center stage.

The event is called Feria De Las Flores in Medellín, Colombia. It is also referred to as the Medellín Flower Fair.

What is the Medellín Flower Fair? It is an exposition held annually in August (July 31 through Aug. 9 this year). The Feria de las Flores is Medellín’s premier cultural and economic festival, celebrating the region’s rich floral heritage. It attracts hundreds of thousands of local and international visitors, placing flowers at the very center of culture, tourism and community pride.

In one of their gorgeous displays of floral art, PanAmerican Seed products will be showcased.

The Santafé Floral Carpet (Tapete de Flores) is a key highlight during the Fair. The Santafé Shopping Mall features a massive, world-class 3D live floral carpet in its main atrium. This spectacular display was brought to life through the execution and technical set-up of our distributor, L&G Agroflowers, alongside one of their key grower clients, Vivero Tierranegra. Almost 200,000 flowers decorate the display!

This year, the installation prominently showcased PanAmerican Seed genetics, including African Marigold Taishan® and Petunia Pretty Flora.

Below are a few pictures of the floral carpet. ¡Fue fantástico!
