At PanAmerican Seed, we believe that growing plants goes hand in hand with growing connections. This spring, our Hem location will be buzzing with activity as we welcome visitors from our local community, education partners and industry network. From open days to student visits and professional meet-ups, the coming weeks are all about sharing knowledge, inspiring future talent and showing what happens behind the scenes of our seed breeding company.
Here’s a look at what’s coming up.
Kom Binnen Bij Bedrijven Dagen
17 & 18 March
On 17 and 18 March, we open our doors as part of Kom Binnen Bij Bedrijven Dagen. During these days, visitors from the region get a unique look inside our company.
Guests will be guided through our modern facilities and greenhouses, where our colleagues explain how flower seeds are bred, tested and prepared for growers across Europe and beyond. It’s a great opportunity to show the diversity of roles within PanAmerican Seed — from breeding and production to technology and quality control — and to give people a better understanding of the innovation behind ornamental crops.
We’re proud to share our work, our passion and our workplace with our local community.

Collegetour – Talland College
24 March
On 24 March, we welcome 75 students from Talland College for a tour at our location.
During this visit, students will experience first-hand what PanAmerican Seed does.
By opening up our company to students, we aim to give them a realistic and engaging view of the horticultural sector and the many career paths it offers. We love sharing our knowledge and hopefully sparking curiosity for a future in seeds, breeding or horticulture technology.
Seed Valley Meet-Up
9 April
As an active member of Seed Valley, we are pleased to host fellow members on 9 April for a Seed Valley meet-up.
Participants will receive a guided tour of our premises, offering insight into our working environment, processes and innovations. These meet-ups are a valuable moment to connect with peers, exchange ideas and strengthen collaboration within the seed industry.
Student Visit – LVG Veitshöchheim
24 April
On 24 April, we welcome students from LVG Veitshöchheim to PanAmerican Seed.
During their visit, students will learn more about our company, our breeding work and the role of innovation in modern ornamental horticulture. We see these international student visits as an important way to share expertise and build bridges between education and practice.
Growing Together
Whether we’re welcoming neighbours, students or industry partners, these events all have one thing in common: they reflect who we are. An open company, driven by passionate people, eager to share knowledge and invest in the future of horticulture.
We’re looking forward to inspiring visitors, answering questions and showing what makes PanAmerican Seed a great place to work and grow.
