Singapore Trials: Gardens by the Bay

PanAmerican Seed took part in the first ever Cultivar Evaluation Trials held at Gardens by the Bay in Singapore under the theme “Tropical Sun: Annual landscape plants that can take heat and humidity”. The presentation took place virtually October 27.

Gardens by the Bay provides a unique opportunity to perform trials in two different growing environments: outdoor full-sun in real Southeast Asian climate, and indoor air-conditioned glasshouses. The goal was to professionally evaluate and showcase new varieties of flowering plants especially for sunny tropical landscapes. The online event was attended by growers, distributers and landscapers from 17 countries around the region.

Since 2011, Gardens by the Bay has been the premier horticultural attraction in Southeast Asia. This initiative was supported by the University of Florida IFAS Extension.
