Spectacular Intros From PanAmerican Seed

PlentiFall Pansy

In Santa Paula, PanAmerican Seed seemed to have “home court advantage,” and the new varieties from the company wowed the crowds who were visiting up and down the coast! Here’s just a few of the visitor favorites featured in the stunning new 5,000-sq.-ft. cool crop outdoor space and throughout the Shoppe storefronts …

PlentiFall™ Pansies

This is the first-ever trailing pansy series from seed. It played heavily in the Spring Trials landscape design this year, and you could find PlentiFall trailing from arbors overhead, spreading out in garden beds, and overflowing tiered container displays. This was quickly selected as a winner by guests, media contacts, and industry elite. Watch for this series to take off in the co

ming months!

Fuseables™

Here’s some new innovation that the industry is calling for! Fuseables intrigued visitors to the Shoppes, and they want to learn more. This first-ever professional-quality single and multi-species multi-pellets let you produce more natural looking mixes that grow well together, then look great at retail and all through the season. The presentations for Fuseables was filled during the week, and the items on display were impressive.

SimplySalad

SimplySalad™

Our multi-seed, multi-pellet SimplySalad combos produce “cut and come again” mixes that make delicious, nutritious edibles and colorful, mixed-texture ornamentals. PanAmerican Seed received great comments from trials

visitors. Product looked full – and tasty! – all week. Many guests offered their take on the vegetable/edible markets, and they were happy to supply us with helpful packaging and marketing advice, too. We learned a lot that week!

PowWow™ Wild Berry Echinacea

The PanAmerican Seed 2010 All-America Selections winner tried its best to bloom and exhibit its eye-catching color. Still, it was a pleaser and people were looking for it by name. PowWow lets you send super-showy color to market by putting more flowers on every plant than other echinaceas. Also available in White.

Gryphon Begonia

Gryphon Foliage Begonia

The traffic in front of Gryphon’s storefront was heavy through the whole week! Growers were interested in pumping up their programs with Gryphon’s elegance and durability. It’s part of our Fantastic Foliage® lineup, and offers “360-degree” foliage views. It’s a multi-pellet, which keeps this begonia from growing “flat” on one side.

Impreza™ Impatiens

Just when you thought you’d heard it all from impatiens, here’s a big breeding breakthrough! Impreza delivers the longest shelf life of any impatiens to extend sales and reduce dump. Bring in this grower-friendly series in a streamlined range of the top-selling colors plus unique patterns.

Wave Purple Improved PetuniaWave Purple Improved

Wave celebrates 15 years in 2010, and the new “facelift” of Classic Wave Purple is a welcome event. Growers can cut up to 2 weeks from their production time with Wave Purple Improved! Count on the same great habit, garden performance and flower color as original Purple Classic, with larger blooms and quicker fill.

There was plenty more to see at Spring Trials! Our Video coverage will showcase more varieties and colorful introductions, and scrapbook visitors can upload their images to the Photo Gallery through their My Business account. Share your travel memories with us!

And we look forward to seeing you at our “Shoppes on Main” next year!
